This is a lovely Victorian style solid silver item for the sewing collector or for the cabinet of the silver collector.

The outside is beautifully decorated with swags and masks and plain cartouche and inside holds a silver bobbin for different threads and cottons.

It is fully hallmarked London 2005 (not just stamped 925) and has a quality hinged lid that closes crisply.

It is made of a good gauge of silver weighing 29.8grams (1 troy ounce of silver). It stands 5.5cm high and 2.2cm in diameter. It has a ring on top so it could be worn from a chain or chatelaine.
